After spending more than one year researching, I found out that about 80% of all the electronic waste collected around the world
ends up in Guiyu, a small town in the Southern China provence of Guandong.
Here adults and kids alike work non stop, taking apart every piece of computer they can put their hands on.
Gulling circuits boards to remove the chips, soaking them in acid to recuperate bits of gold,
extracting copper from the computer wires and then separating and selling those parts again.
Everything done without any precaution for their health or for the environment.
